Janis

So, a life with a puppy starts again.
I named my puppy, Janis. I took this name from the famous Rock'n Roller, Janis Joplin. Like her mother and Joplin, my Janis is so energetic and very noisy. <laugh!>
When Leanne was very young, I called her a monkey but Janis is just like a little monster. However, I like energetic dogs and LOVE bad puppies. I am enjoying Janis everyday.

Photo on left was taken when she was almost 2 months.

It is always so much fun to have a puppy and teach her something new. What exercise I taught her for the first was 'down' and 'stand'. She can be a nice furry mat when lying down on the floor. With a click-and-treat, Janis learns new tricks so quickly. My monster is a genius!

Nanako used to growl at Janis when this little monster came to tease her. Janis didn't care at all. Finally Nanako gave up and now they are getting along together very well somehow - they are ignoring each other at most of the time while Leanne still tries to take care of Janis.

From this November, I have come back to the show ring with her. Since she is still a very young puppy and she doesn't know what to do there very well, we need more practice.
Especially when we go into the group ring, the breeds around her are small ones like Chihuahua or Pekingese. When she saw the Peki for the first time, she really went nuts. She tried to chase and catch that furry-square-mat-like-unknown-stuff with tiny legs. She was really, really crazy then and I didn't know what to do.
However, she seems she enjoys dog shows very much.

The photo on left was taken by my friend. Isn't she so cute!:? This is one of my favorites.

Before Janis made her debut as a show dog at 5 months, she made it as a calender model. The photo on right is one of the works taken by a professional. We don't know if this family photo will be used for 2007 calender or not at this time but they look so nice, don't they?
